The architecture and layout of this new hotel is based on the ancient Chinese principles of Feng Shui. The result is an attractive mixture of the five earth elements (water, wood, fire, earth and metal), their corresponding colours and a wonderful cuisine, which together offer a feast for the senses. Freshness, harmony with the environment and the soft blending of colours are the prime objectives. This philosophy is based on the principle that human beings should live in harmony with themselves and their surroundings.

The 198 rooms have all been designed in strict adherence to the principles of Feng Shui

Thalaspa The Source is a unique concept based on a combination of Thalasso and Spa. For those who feel the need to relax body and mind, the complex offers 3 Jacuzzis, a salt-water swimming pool, a high-tech gym, a sauna and a hammam, a hydrotherapy room, 5 massage rooms, 2 beauty treatment rooms and a hairdressing saloon. The Source offers ‘Stone Therapy’, which involves the use of heated stones that are applied to the body in various ways to bring relief to stiff and sore muscles. Another unique experience is the ‘Ylang-Ylang’ Massage with 4 hands. Using a special 4 hands technique and the essential oil of the Ylang-Ylang plant, this head to toe massage eliminates tension, anxiety, and stimulates circulation. Go on pamper yourself!

The Ginkgo Restaurant serves a full buffet breakfast. Each evening there is a different cultural buffet, table d'hote or gala dinner.

La Bastide is the beach bar and grill serving delicious Mediterranean cuisine, with a hint of the tropics.

Karma House is the prestige dining room specialising in "East meets West" cuisine each evening. This split-level restaurant also has an open kitchen, a walk in-wine cellar and an outdoor terrace.

Abalone is the seafood restaurant serving the freshest fish dishes from oysters and crayfish to the ‘catch of the day’.

Spirit Bar and Lounge is reminiscent of an English Club and provides an elegant, refined atmosphere conducive to a quiet drink before supper. Alternatively, enjoy an nightcap with a choice of Havana cigars. There is also a library and board games.

Grand Bleu is the pool bar, which offers an international selection of colourful drinks, from 10h00 to midnight. Light lunches come in all shapes and varieties: snacks, brunches, dim sums (the traditional Chinese lunch) and homemade pancakes.

Epicure, the delicatessen, is a unique treasure trove of gourmet delights. Specializing in picnic hampers, it also stocks a range of refined products from caviar to the local favourites, all complimented by a fine selection of rum and international wines and spirits.

The Kids Club caters for little people aged 3 to 11 years at The Little Mermaid, and older kids at The Trendy New Teens Club. The Kids Club (09h00 to 21h00) is staffed by three qualified hostesses to entertain youngsters. A babysitting service is also available on request, for a fee. Children's dinner is served in the main restaurant, from 18h00 to 19h00, for the convenience of both parents and children. The Trendy New Teens Club promises days of fun-filled activities.

This is a large resort but there are elements that are unquestionably romantic. The beautifully appointed rooms, small private cove, exceptional service and wonderful food might well give you a sense that it had all been laid on with you in mind.
